لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
Lā ilāha illā llāhu waḥdahū lā sharīka lah. Lahu l-mulku wa-lahu l-ḥamdu wa-huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr.
There is no deity but Allah; He alone is the true deity. He is One and has no partner. His is the dominion and to Him belongs all praise. He has power over all things.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this dhikr abundantly. (Sahih al-Bukhari, Da'awat 54/6403; Sahih Muslim, Dhikr 28/2691; Jami' at-Tirmidhi, Da'awat 61/3553)
In the hadith narrated from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The most excellent of the forms of dhikr is La ilaha illallah." (Jami' at-Tirmidhi 3383) In the Musnad of Ahmad ibn Hanbal, the words "The key to Paradise is La ilaha illallah" are transmitted. These expressions show that the word of tawhid is not merely a saying but salvation itself.
