سُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ الْعَظِيمِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ
Subḥāna Llāhi l-ʿAẓīmi wa bi-ḥamdih.
I glorify Almighty Allah with praise.

Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him). (Sahih al-Bukhari, Da'awat 65/6682; Sahih Muslim, Dhikr 31/2694)
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are two words that are light on the tongue, heavy on the scale, and greatly beloved to the Most Merciful: Subhanallahi wa bihamdihi, Subhanallahi'l-Azim." (Sahih al-Bukhari 6682; Sahih Muslim 2694) This hadith shows that the worth of a dhikr is measured not by its length but by its value in the sight of Allah. These two words, which take only a few seconds to say, are among the deeds that will weigh heavily in the balance on the Day of Judgement.
The name "Azim" expresses that Allah's greatness surpasses the limits of intellect and imagination. When a person bows in ruku during the salah (prayer) and says "Subhana Rabbiya'l-Azim", he repeats this same act of magnification, which comes from the same root.
