لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
Lā ilāha illā llāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah. Lahu l-mulku wa-lahu l-ḥamdu bi-yadihi l-khayru wa-huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr.
There is no god but Allah. He is One; He has no partner. Sovereignty is His, and praise is His. All good is in His hand. He has power over all things.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this remembrance abundantly during the standing at Arafat. (Jami' at-Tirmidhi, Da'awat 57/3585; Muwatta Malik, Qur'an 32)
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The most excellent dua is the dua recited on the Day of Arafah. The most excellent remembrance that I and the prophets before me have recited is this: 'Lā ilāha illā llāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah...'" (Jami' at-Tirmidhi, Da'awat 57/3585).
The standing at Arafat is a pillar of the hajj. "Hajj is Arafat" (Sunan Abi Dawud, Manasik 68). On the 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah (the Day of Arafah) one stands at Arafat from after midday until the sun sets. During this time abundant dua, remembrance and seeking of forgiveness are performed.
On this day Allah Most High looks upon the angels and says: "Look at My servants; they have come to Me covered in dust, with dishevelled hair. I call you to witness that I have forgiven them" (Sunan Ibn Majah, Manasik 57).
A pilgrim standing at Arafat may make whatever dua he wishes. This remembrance forms the main framework, and in between one adds one's own requests in one's own language.
There is no god but Allah. He is One; He has no partner. Sovereignty is His, and praise is His. All good is in His hand. By the blessing of Arafat, forgive my sins. Make me too among those who are forgiven, O Lord. Amin.
