لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ وَحْدَهُ أَنْجَزَ وَعْدَهُ وَنَصَرَ عَبْدَهُ وَهَزَمَ الْأَحْزَابَ وَحْدَهُ
Lā ilāha illā Allāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah. Lahu'l-mulku wa lahu'l-ḥamdu wa huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr. Lā ilāha illā Allāhu waḥdah. Anjaza waʿdahu wa naṣara ʿabdahu wa hazama'l-aḥzāba waḥdah.
There is no god but Allah. He is One, He has no partner. To Him belongs the dominion and to Him belongs all praise. He has power over all things. There is no god but Allah, He is One. He fulfilled His promise, He aided His servant, and He alone defeated the confederate armies.

When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) climbed the hill of Marwah, he recited the same dua he had recited on Safa (Sahih Muslim, Hajj 147/1218). On Marwah he turned toward the Kaaba and repeated this dhikr three times; in between he made whatever dua he wished.
The saʿy begins at Safa and ends at Marwah. Of the seven circuits, four are made from Safa to Marwah and three from Marwah to Safa. The same dua is recited at every ascent of the hills.
Our mother Hajar's search for water in the waterless desert for her son Ismail (peace be upon him) is the finest example of trust in Allah. Allah rewarded her patience and caused the water of Zamzam to gush forth. The pilgrim who performs the saʿy relives that submission.
There is no god but Allah, He is One, He has no partner. He fulfilled His promise and aided His servant. As You bestowed Zamzam upon our mother Hajar, bestow upon me too from Your mercy, O Lord. Amin.
