اَللّٰهُمَّ أَنْتَ الْأَبَدِيُّ الْقَدِيمُ الْأَوَّلُ وَفَضْلُكَ الْهَنِيدُ وَجُودُكَ الْمُتَوَالِي وَهٰذَا عَامٌ جَدِيدٌ قَدْ أَقْبَلَ نَسْأَلُكَ فِيهِ الْعِصْمَةَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ وَأَوْلِيَائِهِ وَالْعَوْنَ عَلَى هٰذِهِ النَّفْسِ الْأَمَّارَةِ بِالسُّوءِ وَالْإِشْتِغَالَ بِمَا يُقَرِّبُنِي إِلَيْكَ زُلْفَى يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ
Allāhumma anta l-abadiyyu l-qadīmu l-awwal. Wa faḍluka l-hanīd wa jūduka l-mutawālī. Wa hādhā ʿāmun jadīdun qad aqbala nasʾaluka fīhi l-ʿiṣmata mina sh-shayṭāni wa awliyāʾihī wa l-ʿawna ʿalā hādhihi n-nafsi l-ammārati bi-s-sūʾi wa l-ishtighāla bimā yuqarribunī ilayka zulfā yā dhā l-jalāli wa l-ikrām.
O Allah! You are the Everlasting, the Eternal, the First. Your grace and bounty are most exalted. The way Your generosity encompasses everything is most exalted. The new year has arrived. In this year we ask You to protect us from Satan, from his friends and from his armies. We ask Your help against our lower self, which commands evil. We ask Your help so that we may occupy ourselves with the things that draw us near to You. O Allah, Possessor of Majesty and Honour!

This dua is recited on the 1st of Muharram (the Hijri new year). The Hijri new year is the beginning of the Islamic calendar and falls on the first day of the month of Muharram.
This dua contains five requests: taking refuge in the Everlasting Allah, protection from Satan, help against the lower self that commands evil, striving to draw near to Allah, and pleading with Allah, the Possessor of Majesty.
It is recommended to recite this dua three times in the morning on the 1st of Muharram. On this day it is also sunnah to fast, to give charity and to seek forgiveness abundantly.
O Allah! You are the Everlasting, the Eternal, the First. Your grace is most exalted. The new year has come. In this year protect us from Satan and from his armies. Help us against the evil of our lower self. Occupy us with deeds that draw us near to You. O Possessor of Majesty and Honour, O Lord. Amin.
