Kaynak

Source: Jami' at-Tirmidhi 2083 (hasan (good) hadith).

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite this dua for those with fever. (Jami' at-Tirmidhi, Tibb 18/2083; Sunan Ibn Majah, Tibb 36/3533)

Virtue
Virtue

Fever is mentioned in the hadiths as an expiation for those who believe. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever befalls a believer of fatigue, illness, distress, grief and sorrow — even the prick of a thorn — Allah makes it an expiation for his sins." (Sahih al-Bukhari 5641; Jami' at-Tirmidhi 966) Whoever meets the hardship of a feverish illness with patience undergoes a spiritual purification in that process. This dua is recited to increase the blessing of that purification and to lighten the heavy burden of the illness.

Visiting the sick is in itself an act of worship that is a sunnah.
