لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
Lā ilāha illā anta subḥānaka innī kuntu mina ẓ-ẓālimīn.
There is no god but You. Glory be to You. Indeed, I have been among the wrongdoers.

This dua is verse 87 of Surah Al-Anbiya in the Noble Qur'an. It is the dua Yunus (peace be upon him) made in the belly of the fish. It is also known as the "Dua of Dhu'n-Nun".
When his people did not believe despite his warning them, Yunus (peace be upon him) left the city without permission. When the ship he boarded was caught in a storm, lots were drawn and he was cast into the sea. He was swallowed by a great fish. In the midst of three darknesses — the belly of the fish, the depth of the sea and the darkness of the night — he made this dua (Al-Anbiya 87).
Allah the Exalted said, "So We responded to him and saved him from distress. And thus do We save the believers" (Al-Anbiya 88). This verse amounts to a promise that every believer who makes the same dua will be saved in the same way.
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said about this dua: "The dua of my brother Dhu'n-Nun (Yunus): 'Lā ilāha illā anta subḥānaka innī kuntu mina ẓ-ẓālimīn.' Whenever any Muslim makes this dua about any matter, Allah will surely answer his dua" (Jami' at-Tirmidhi, Da'awat 82; Musnad Ahmad I, 170). This hadith shows that this dua may be recited in every difficulty and that it carries a guarantee of being answered.
The dua first proclaims tawhid, the oneness of Allah (La ilaha illa anta), then glorifies Allah (Subhanaka), and then confesses fault (Inni kuntu mina z-zalimin). These three elements are the basic components of an accepted dua: tawhid, tasbih and istighfar (seeking forgiveness).
My Lord! There is no god but You. Glory be to You. I have been among the wrongdoers; I confess my fault. Just as You rescued Yunus from within the darknesses, rescue me too from distress, from troubles and from despair. In every darkness there is Your light. Accept my dua, O Lord. Amin.
