اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ وَالْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَضَلَعِ الدَّيْنِ وَغَلَبَةِ الرِّجَالِ
Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika mina l-hammi wa-l-ḥazani wa-l-ʿajzi wa-l-kasali wa-l-bukhli wa-l-jubni wa ḍalaʿi d-dayni wa ghalabati r-rijāl.
O Allah! I seek refuge in You from anxiety, from sorrow, from incapacity, from laziness, from miserliness, from cowardice, from the weight of debt, and from being overpowered by men.

Narrated by Anas (may Allah be pleased with him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite this dua frequently. (Sahih al-Bukhari, Daawat 39/6369; Sunan Abi Dawud, Witr 32/1555)
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray often: 'Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika mina l-hammi wa-l-ḥazan...'" (Sahih al-Bukhari, Daawat 39/6369). In this narration it is transmitted as the dua of protection that the Prophet recited most often.
This dua consists of seeking refuge with Allah from eight evils — in four pairs:
Hamm and hazan (anxiety and sorrow): Hamm is worry about the future; hazan is grief over the past. A person is caught between these two. Ajz and kasal (incapacity and laziness): Ajz is powerlessness; kasal is not stirring into action although one has the power to do so. Bukhl and jubn (miserliness and cowardice): Bukhl is not giving of one's wealth; jubn is not offering one's life. Ḍalaʿ ad-dayn and ghalabat ar-rijāl (the weight of debt and the oppression of men): Debt makes a person anxious by night and humiliates him by day.
Note: This dua is similar to the Hamm-Hazan Dua numbered 101, and with the addition of "ḍalaʿ ad-dayn" (the weight of debt) it is a different narration of it (Sahih al-Bukhari 6369).
O Allah! I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, from incapacity and laziness, from miserliness and cowardice, from the weight of debt, and from the oppression of men. Preserve me from these eight evils, O Lord. Amin.
