بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
Bismillāhi'lladhī lā yaḍurru maʿa'smihi shayʾun fi'l-arḍi wa lā fi's-samāʾi wa huwa's-samīʿu'l-ʿalīm.
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause harm. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.

Narrated by Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recommended reading this dua three times morning and evening. (Sunan Abi Dawud, Adab 101/5088; Jami' at-Tirmidhi, Da'awat 61/3388; Sunan Ibn Majah, Du'a 14/3869)
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Nothing will harm the one who says three times in the morning or in the evening, 'Bismillahilladhi la yadurru ma'asmihi shay'un fi'l-ardi wa la fi's-sama'i wa huwa's-Sami'u'l-Alim'" (Sunan Abi Dawud, Adab 101/5088; Jami' at-Tirmidhi, Da'awat 61/3388).
This dua is a request for protection through the blessing of Allah's name and under His safekeeping. To begin "in the name of Allah" is to enter upon every undertaking with the basmalah. The phrase "with His name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause harm" emphasises that nothing can harm a servant who is under Allah's protection.
This dua is one of the best known of the morning and evening duas of protection. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recommended reading it three times in the morning and three times in the evening. Reading it three times is for the confirmation and strengthening of the dua.
To the person protected "by the name of Allah" no affliction, disaster, illness, accident, devil or oppressor, whether on earth or in heaven, can cause harm. This is the promise of Allah. To read this dua three times morning and evening is a sunnah and gives very great protection.
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause harm. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. With this blessing I have entered the morning / I have reached the evening. Protect me from every kind of evil, from accident, from affliction and from illness, O my Lord. Amin.
